user support specialist job description & duties:

Provide technical assistance to computer users. Answer questions or solve computer problems for customers and individuals, by phone or computer. It can help you use software and computer software, including print, input, word processing, email, and operating systems.

Duties:

• Check the equipment and read the instructions to prepare the staff delivery.
• Adjust and customize your business plan for your needs.
• Prepare a review of the software or hardware and report any upgrades or updates.
• Answer questions from users about using a computer or computer hardware to solve problems.
• Monitor daily performance of computer systems.
• Define rules and check procedures to identify proper use and failures.
• Install and perform minor hardware, software, or hardware maintenance by following the design or installation instructions.
• Maintain equipment for users, manufacture or maintain appropriate cables, operating systems or software.
• Records daily data transfer, problems and maintenance operations or installation work.
• Read manuals, guide users or perform computer diagnostics to diagnose and solve problems or provide technical support.
• Contact the team, staff and management to indicate system requirements or new changes.
• Develop software and training systems or train employees to use hardware or software.
• Report faulty hardware or software problems or products to suppliers or technicians for maintenance.
• Read business and technical instructions or go to forums and conferences to learn more about hardware and software.
• Carry out automation of office research, including performance appraisal, space planning, or cost management.
• Teams, supervisors and project managers in special projects, problem solving, monitoring and implementation of data communication tools and software.
